The Project is led by Dr. Octasiano M. Valerio Mendoza, with the supervision of Dr. Flavio Comim, at the IQS School of Management of Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona, Spain.
Octasiano M. Valerio Mendoza
Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at IQS School of Management in Universitat Ramon Llull (Barcelona, Spain). He obtained his M.A. and PhD, both in International Development, at Nagoya University (Japan). His research interests include development economics, human development and the evolution of educational and economic disparities.

Flavio Comim
Associate Professor of Economics, Finance and Ethics at IQS School of Management in Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona, Spain and Affiliated Lecturer in Human Development and Ecosystems at the University of Cambridge (UK). He obtained his MPhil and PhD, all in Economics, at the University of Cambridge. He has also been a fellow St Edmund’s College in University of Cambridge and Downing College. Flavio was also Senior Economist for the UNDP and consultant for several UN agencies such as UNESCO, UNEP, ILO and FAO. His research interests include development economics, capabilities approach, human development, and poverty.
